She was born May 4, 1920 in Detroit, MI. Dolly and her husband, Ted, moved to Utica in 1950 when Ted came here with Chicago-Pneumatic. Ted died in 1998. She was employed for many years with Utica Leather in downtown Utica and the New Hartford store. Dolly was of the Lutheran Faith and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a great dry sense of humor and loved people. She and her husband loved the time they spent at their camp in Cape Vincent on the St. Lawrence River. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Hefferon of New Hartford, Mary Lou Alexander and husband, Peter of New Hartford; her grandchildren, Kevin Hefferon and Tracy of Clayton, Ric Hefferon, Utica, Ted Hefferon and Kim of New Hartford; her great-grandchildren, Korey of IN, and Katrina of Clayton, Lamara, Kacy, Adrianna, Dustin, Kris and Camryn of AL, and Ashley; and one great-great-grandson. She also leaves her dear friend, Hasiba who cared for her and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted in 1998; and her brother, Robert who died during World War II. |
