The Will of John Bodener dated 11 JUL 1605
In the name of god amen. The xjth daie of Julie, in the third yere of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James By the grace of god of England Scotland Frannce and Irland Kinge defender of the faith &c and of Scotland the xxxixti 1605. I John BODENER of Kybineall in the pishe of Pawle in the countie of Cornewall, being sicke and weake of (bodie) but of pfect mynd and good remembrannce god be praysed there fore, doe macke my testament and last will in maner & forme folowing. first I bequeth my soule to Almyghtie god, which hathe created & redemed mee, and through whome I hope to be saved and I comyt my bodie to the earth, and to be buryed, after the order of Christian buryall. I geve & bequeth to the poore of the pish of Pawle ijs (2 shillings) to bee distributed to the poorest sort. I geve & bequeth for tythe forgotten ijs vjd (2 shillings 6 pence) I geve & bequeth to Elizabeth & Marten the eldest daughter, and the eldest sone to Marten my sone a Cow betwene them to William and Margret sone & daughter to Jenkin BODENER my sone I geve & bequeth also a Cow betwene them. I geve and bequeth to Susan, Marten BODENER is daughter a heifert o(f) ijo (2) yeris old. I geve and bequeth to Thomsyn HUTHE my god daughter a yaw (ewe). I geve and bequeth to Jewanet daughter to Marten WILLM my god daughter a lambe or xviijd (18 pence) in monye. Itm I geve & Bequeth to Jedna JACK is Children between them a yaw (ewe) lambe I geve and bequeth to Christen daughter to William GEORDGE a lambe. The rest of all my goodis moveable and unmoveable I geve & bequeth to Marten & Jenkin my sonnis, whome I macke & ordeyne my full & sole executors, and to fulfyll & accomplish this my last will in paying and awnswering these my legasies, by me, before geiven & bequethed and this to be my last will, I confyrme it in the prsence and witnes of those folowing, even the daie and yer above wryten.
