living with his sister Mary in Coombe, St Stephens Tried at the Bodmin Assizes on 26 MAR 1849 for breaking and entering the house of Elizabeth Phillips in St Mewan and stealing various articles. Sentenced to 10 years transportation. Departed from Plymouth on 1 SEP 1852 aboard The Equestrian. Arrived at Hobart on 16 DEC 1852 Married Mary Ann Todd on 20 MAY 1857. They had two sons: William born in 1858. He died 21 NOV 1858 in Brighton, Tasmania and John Clemo born on 27 SEP 1859 in Brighton, Tasmania. William was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment on 8 JUL 1868 for assaulting Emily Mary Easton aged about 10 years of age. William was killed on 5 JAN 1882 in the bush near Gladstone by a tree falling on him |
